Yesterday, after a bug report regarding form submission on the main page, we corrected the bug that was preventing the “mnch it!” button from posting the form.
From October 7, 2012 to October 10, 2012, our network experienced some intermittent outages. These outages were due to a number of upgrades and changes in our infrastructure to increase performance and security of our servers. These changes included new DNS servers, moving our projects into a CDN, and various security and performance tweaks to the servers themselves.
As of 0112 October 10, 2012, this issue has been resolved.
After about 3 hours of coding and an hour or so of testing, urlMnch 2.5.0 is live!
Changes include the following:
- Fully re-designed front-end using Twitter Bootstrap
- Cleaned up social sharing options following URL generation
- Removed FriendFeed from social sharing options
- Added system version information and history
- Add Tumblr to social sharing options
- Add Digg to social sharing options
Over the past week or so, we’ve been dealing with a number of outages in a variety of locations in our network. Thankfully, some of these outages were due to growth and expansion of one of our partners. Unfortunately, however, a number of client sites were affected by this outage. We have been working around the clock with our partners to get everything back up and running.
As of 0518 CT, all servers are back up and running, the DNS cluster has been moved, and redundancy is now in place for all websites.
Effective at 1200 CT, all outages and pre-existing issues from this week should be resolved, pending DNS propagation.
Any issues with any accounts that remain unresolved by 1700 CT should be reported to our team.
The Q4 redesign of urlMnch is underway! The new design is live, but we’re still working some kinks out and fitting everything from the software into the right place. Feel free to report any bugs to us here or on Twitter.
